WOW! Our special coverage of Pajamas continues! We were absolutely delighted to have our naps interrupted by the one-and-only Mindy Thomas (NPR’s Wow in the World, SIRIUS XM’s Absolutely Mindy Show) who shared some INCREDIBLE inventions she’s dreamed up and some crazy sleep science she and Guy Raz explored on their show. Mindy was once a child herself and now has two of her own, so we also discussed pajama day at school, sleep overs vs sleep unders, the dreams we can almost remember, and how aspirational childhood dreams can come true. As Mindy notes, “You cannot sneeze with your eyes open and you can’t tickle yourself. Unless your dreams are those two things, anything is possible.”
We kick off this episode with a song we wrote about My Favorite Pajamas and also share some wonderful thoughts about getting good rest for our minds and bodies and the ways different kids prepare for bed. Thanks to Gavin, Zoe, Luke, Lucy, Alexander, Sara Chana, Tamima, Miriam, and Yitzy Zev for sharing their bedtime routines with us!
